]]> Atelier Audio Room at Montreal Audiofest 2026
I heard both digital and analog setups here in the Atelier Audio room at Montreal Audiofest 2026, and analog edged out digital in image palpability, tactility, texture, resolution, lifelike presence, and, most of all, tone. I’d go so far as to say it delivered the best tone I heard at the show. My goodness, that sax. Those vocals. The double bass. I couldn’t remember hearing them depicted so deep, exposed, and lifelike—and that extends to the recoding space, which was tangibly recreated, down to the volume of air inside the room and the instrument’s proximity to walls. The presentation brimmed with life force and real-time presence.

This room had the Best Sound of the Show for me, hands down. (Ken Micallef, who has a pair of Voxativ Ampeggio speakers on loan at home, liked it too.)

After countless requests, the Ampeggio is returning to serial production. Its success put us on the map over a decade ago, when Stereophile named it Product of the Year.

Since then, we’ve learned a lot. The new Ampeggio arrives with a meticulously tuned driver, a subtly refined horn mouth, improved cabinet contours, and a completely redesigned support structure.

In 2025, the lineup expands with the addition of the AC-2B driver, featuring a handcrafted wooden cone.

THE ALBERICH² – MOTHER & SON REUNITED IN MUSIC

The name Alberich harkens from Wagner’s Ring Cycle. He is the king of the dwarves and the powerful father of Hagen – both are small in scale, but when combined, they pack a powerful punch. Following the worldwide success of our modular 9.88 concept, we set out to apply the same formula to a more affordable, room-friendly model. It can be driven by any amplifier that is able to handle the complex load of our widebanders. A preamp output should be present to drive the woofer section.

More Than Just a Sub

At first glance, the Alberich² system may seem unconventional. After all, it pairs our compact Hagen monitor with the AST Ripol – a bass module that, in many ways, defies expectations. Some wonder: why such an elaborate solution for low frequencies?

A great deal of the electrical noise in hifi systems is caused by imperfections in the power domain. These imperfections may be generated by airborne pollution on the AC line that are induced, in part, by increasing amounts of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular signals. Airborne pollution can take the form of high frequency interference, noise, and stray magnetic fields, which lead to AC line contamination. A poor, or “unclean”, ground causes more performance imperfections than most people realize. Without an effective ground point, the entire foundation of your sound system becomes jeopardized—and unfortunately, most listening rooms simply do not have access to a designated line, attached to a ground rod. Neodio TMA, the minimalist amplifier.

Progress can have different faces. On the one hand, there is triumphant technology, with products that are increasingly complex and constantly being upgraded and replaced. On the other, there is a more rational form of consumption, that is mindful of natural resources and sustainability.

The TMA integrated amplifier is the first electronic product in our Blue Program. In line with my personal values, I’m now offering products that are still very high-end, but that are more affordable and even more long-lasting.

In developing the TMA, every effort has been made to ensure that the product has the maximum possible life span. It comes with a 10-year guarantee to the first owner, and I’ve designed it to be easy to repair and, if necessary, upgraded in the future. The TMA is a product designed to stand the test of time.

To achieve this, I simplified everything that could be simplified and went back to the essence of what an amplifier should be: a machine that is faithful to the music and capable of satisfying its owner for many years. It has no remote control or display. Just a switch, a source selector and a volume control. This minimalist approach allows us to focus on design quality, build quality and sound performance…
